Meet the Team
Abby Weiss, M.S., CCC-SLP
Lead Speech-Language Pathologist, Owner
Hi! I'm Abby! I am a licensed and ASHA board-certified Speech-Language Pathologist. I am licensed in both California and Illinois. I am originally from Chicagoland area before I moved to the west coast after graduate school. As a speech-language pathologist, my approach to therapy implements the use of individualized care, combining the use of play-based and routines based intervention. I use a family-centered approach. Together, we encourage speech and language learning through play, routines, yoga, mindfulness, and parent/caregiver reflection.
My experience includes working with children in private practice clinic setting, schools and in-home early intervention services. I enjoy empowering parents to engage with their children in new and meaningful ways as I support them in making progress toward their goals.
I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). After receiving my B.S. in Speech & Hearing Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, I earned my M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology at Saint Xavier University in Chicago. Additionally, I am a Certified PESL Accent & Pronunciation Instructor by ILP Academy - Institute of Language & Phonology, completed over 250 hours of Yoga Teacher Training and hold a Kids Yoga Certification by Rainbow Kids Yoga.
